Vivase

Cookie policy

Last updated October 2026

The short version: Vivase keeps a handful of small files on your device so you stay signed in and your bag is where you left it. Nothing here advertises, nothing follows you to other sites, and the two things that aren't strictly needed are yours to switch off.

Your choices

  • What the shop needs

Keeps you signed in, your bag where you left it, and checkout working.

    Always on
  • Remember what I look at

Keeps a short list of the pieces you've opened, on your device only, so the homepage can start with pieces like them.

  • Count my visit

Tells us a page was viewed, with no cookie and nothing that says who you are, so we know roughly how many people come.

What we mean by cookies

A cookie is a small file a website puts on your device. We also use local storage, which does the same job inside your browser and is never sent to us when you load a page. Both are called cookies on this page, because what matters is what they're for.

How we handle your information more broadly is in our Privacy policy.

What we always keep

These are needed for the shop to work, or you asked for them, so they don't wait for a choice:

  • Signing in. When you sign in, our sign-in provider, Supabase, sets a cookie so you stay signed in. It lasts until you sign out or the session runs out.
  • Where to send you back to (vv-next). If you were looking at a piece when you chose to sign in, this remembers the page. It lasts one hour.
  • Your country (vv-country). A two-letter guess from your connection, so we can show shipping costs before you've entered an address. It lasts twelve hours.
  • Your bag, the pieces you've saved, the sizes you chose before, and your light or dark choice. They live on your device so they're there when you come back, until you clear them.
  • A few small memories: that you've seen our welcome offer, an email you typed into a restock alert, and your choices on this page.
  • At checkout. Stripe's payment form loads on the checkout page, and Stripe sets its own cookies (__stripe_mid and __stripe_sid) to spot fraud. Stripe's own policy covers them. We don't see them.

What you can switch off

Two things are optional, and you choose them in the banner, in Cookie settings at the bottom of any page, or in the controls on this page.

Remember what I look at. This keeps a short list on your device of the pieces you've opened and added to your bag, up to the last sixty. The homepage uses it to start its "Recommended for you" row with the kind of piece you keep coming back to, and gives recent looks more weight than old ones. The list never leaves your device. It's off until you allow it, and switching it off deletes the list.

Count my visit. When this is on, your browser tells us a page was viewed, using Vercel's analytics and a counter of our own, so we know roughly how many people come. There is no cookie in it, and nothing that says who you were: a one-way scramble of your address and browser that changes every day and is deleted after two days. It's on until you switch it off, because it can't identify you. Switch it off and nothing is sent.

What we don't use

No advertising cookies. No tracking pixels from social networks or ad companies. No cookies that follow you from this site to others. We don't sell what these files hold, and we don't share it with advertisers.

Other companies' cookies

Only when you use them:

  • Stripe, on the checkout page and for the wallet buttons (Apple Pay, Google Pay), as above.
  • Google, if you choose "Continue with Google" to sign in. Google's own pages set their own cookies, under Google's policy.

Links to our social accounts take you to those sites, which have their own rules.

Changing your mind

Open Cookie settings at the bottom of any page, or use the controls near the top of this page. Your choice takes effect at once.

You can also block or delete cookies in your browser. If you block the needed ones, signing in and keeping a bag won't work. Clearing your browser's site data for Vivase also clears your choices, and you'll be asked again.

Changes to this policy

If we start using a new kind of cookie, we'll update this page and the date at the top, and ask you again before it's switched on.

A question about cookies?

Ask us and we'll tell you exactly what's on your device and why.
